Yeah, sure the old laptop was still usable for some things, but it didn't fit my workflow very good anymore. E.g. I routinely have 600 or more tabs open in Firefox, compile large projects, play videos and do lots more at the same time. The box is swapping all the time and CPU also barely can deal with this with a reasonable (IMHO) latency.
I do still use the old laptop for some things from time to time though, it's still working OK after all.
